Incidental Description

The Chief Procurement Office, in collaboration with the Capital Development Board, has issued guidance on language from the Procurement Code that provides immediate relief to incidental subcontractors and suppliers from the requirements of the Procurement Code. 

Effective immediately, material suppliers and trucking companies, that do not provide installation or labor on site are not included in the definition of subcontractors and are not required to provide disclosures to CDB.  

The Chief Procurement Office and the Capital Development Board will continue to foster more efficient processes for the vendor community, while still maintaining and ensuring transparency for Illinois taxpayers.  For further information please contact the Chief Procurement Office at 217-558-2156.
