Department of Natural Resources seeks Architectural-Engineering Professional Services
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) requires the professional services of an architectural/engineering (A/E) firm to provide design plans and specifications for the Phase 1 Development of a new Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) recreational site at Sahara Woods State Fish and Wildlife Area in southern Illinois. This site is located in Saline County, approximately 1.5 miles north of Carrier Mills, Illinois.
The A/E will be required to work with IDNR staff and other OHV parks to identify the best options to develop a State-owned OHV recreational site. This phase will construct the main support facilities needed for the project and consists of developing an entrance road and large parking area, vault toilet restrooms for public use, site preparation for a future maintenance building and installation of basic utilities including electric service and potable water.
