CDB Revisions to Bidding Documents

The Capital Development Board would like to announce that there are two revisions to the bid documents that must be implemented and included in bid documents for those projects that will originally post on or after January 15, 2015.  Those projects that are already posted prior to January 15 do not need to include these revisions, even if there is an unrelated addendum issued after the January 15th date.
 
For those projects where bid documents are currently being prepared for approval to post on or after January 15, 2015, the two affected sections ( 00 41 09 Financial Disclosures and Certifications; and 01 11 01 Supplement to the SDC) need to be replaced with the January 15, 2015 version of those sections.  The revised sections are added to the Reference Library.
 
Section 00 41 09 includes revisions to the financial disclosures related directly to the Illinois Procurement Gateway, or IPG, as mandated by the CPO of General Services for immediate implementation.
 
Section 01 11 01 includes revisions to the MBE/FBE/VBE requirements that will now include language regarding the commercially useful function of such firms.  This revision is mandated by the Attorney General’s office for immediate implementation. A/E’s will need to take note of these revisions and include the revisions in your preparation of bid documents. Contractors will need to become familiar with the revisions.  The bid documents issued to you by CDB will have the revisions incorporated into the Project Manual.
